You can see the personal information we use to provide quotes and other services for you in Your Portfolio and you can change any information that is not right.

We will not disclose your personal details to any third parties unless it is necessary to do so. On those occasions when we do need to disclose personal information, such as preparing personal illustrations for you, processing your business, or obtaining compliance and regulatory advice, we will do so on a confidential basis and in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

What we use your personal data for

Primarily we use the personal information you give to us to provide you with quotations and personal illustrations for the products you have enquired about. If you choose to buy a product the information is used to enable us and relevant third parties to process your business for you.

We collect personal data to enable us to identify you and to deliver personalised offers and promotions based upon your demographics and product purchase profile, and for the purposes of statistical analysis.

The information is used for system administration purposes and to form personalised profiles and demographics that we may use to improve the content of our communications to you. In order to collect customer use profiles, we may use "cookies" to store and track information about your use of Smartmole.

We will use this personalised information to keep you informed of areas you may have an interest. If you would prefer not to receive communications from SmartMole, please tick the communications opt-out box under Edit Personal Details.

What we won't do with your personal data

We will not sell, rent or disclose your personal details to any third parties, except:

You can see personal information we hold about you and can correct any errors or omissions. This can be done through the SmartMole web site. Personal information can be viewed and corrected on-line by accessing Your Portfolio.

If you are having technical difficulties accessing your portfolio, please send an email describing your problem to our technical support team.

If you prefer not to access Your Portfolio over the web, or wish for us to send you all the information we hold about you, we will retrieve your personal information for you manually. Under the Data Protection Act 1998 we are entitled to charge an administration fee of £10 for answering your request. All requests for copies of personal information should be made in writing, accompanied by the administration fee, to Chris O'Connor & Associates Ltd, Common Lodge, Moss Lane, St.Michaels, Preston, PR3 0TY.
